I am constantly snapping shots of random little odds and ends. Go figure, huh? I took this one while making my lunch one day. I ripped a paper towel off of the roll and couldn’t stop looking at the geometric shaped imprints. Just goes to show that if you keep your eyes open you can find beauty ANYWHERE!

April 23, 2011I don’t know about you guys, but I am SUPER picky about……my hairdressers. It isn’t easy for a hairdresser to get my full trust. When I first moved to the area I tried a few different places out – not really liking any of them – until I landed on Shaneons Downtown Beauty Lounge off the square in Downtown Athens. I LOVE her and I know that this is where I’ll keep going! She is the first hair dresser I’ve had that I truly loved since Ms. Sally was cutting my hair when I was in middle school.
She cut my hair today! I brought my camera along and captured a few shots of her shop. Shaneons Downtown Beauty Lounge has a laid back atmosphere of vintage barber shop and quirky southern charm – and she plays awesome music while she’s working! You should definitely go visit Shaneon in downtown Athens!
I love shooting weddings. The work is high energy and fast paced, and are full of love, fun, and style. Another reason weddings are so fun to shoot is that there are so many little details to capture. The littlest things are often the things the bride agonized over choosing, or made herself with the help from friends and family. Those things should be remembered too!
So, this is my March self portrait. Posted a little late, but it was shot in March! I say that counts. Some days have been warm enough for us to open all of the windows and let the breeze and sunshine in. With the breeze comes the sweet floral scent of these little yellow flowers that grow alongside our front porch. I think they are some sort of Jasmine. I like to pick little sprigs and put them in the vintage milk glass vase on my desk.
