Yesterday I was lucky enough to photograph this beautiful baby girl! She is six months old now! Its so amazing to see how much and how quickly a child grows in that first year – thats why its great to have your childs portraits done a few times within that year. I suggest the first week, 3 months, 6 months, and one year.
We like to put together little albums or accordion albums not only to show how beautiful your child is – but to see the new things your baby can do at these stages!

I am getting ready for a shoot with a cute little baby girl this weekend! Its only monday – but I’m a planner and knowing that the rest of my week is pretty full I started preparing for her shoot today. Here is a little taste of whats to come!
Quite pretty! Just imagine a very cute little girl with a very dark complexion and a little white diaper cover lounging on the plush white.
This glass coke bottle caught my eye. The sunlight hitting the thick glass created this beautiful jade color. So I captured it.
Recently I was able to go to a photography seminar with a couple of friends – it was in Chicago and it was cold! We had a great time together and learned A LOT! No one ever reaches a point where they don’t need to learn more. It was good to connect with other photogrpahers too – I don’t know too many! I took these simple portraits of one of my friends during day two of the seminar. I think she looks lovely (look at those blue eyes)!
We worked with M and B on their wedding day back in November – and what a day it was! Gorgeous sunshine, family and friends, and the whole day went by without a hitch. Well, except for the hair dryer incident! M was one of my bestest besties in high school so it was a bit of a reunion! We were so glad to be able to document her wedding day. So much better than being a guest!
Remember when I said I was going to post a self portrait every month of 2011. Here is my January. I call it the January bedhead – this was taken Monday morning right after I rolled out of my hotel room bed in Chicago. I was there for a workshop!
